Topaz wins Lloyd's Safety Award

The black-tie gala dinner was held at the Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai and was attended by prominent maritime industry executives from the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent.

The 'Safety at Sea' award was won by Topaz Marine MENA represented by General Manager, Ron Clark. The triumph was motivated by Topaz maintaining the highest standards in safety in their daily operations and making concerted efforts in training and investment in high-tech safety solutions.

GM of Topaz Marine MENA, Ron Clark commented on the award,

"This honour belongs to our entire staff and especially our HSE team for the great work they do in pushing the envelope on safety. The safety culture permeates Topaz's whole organization and to be recognized for that is truly encouraging and inspires further progress in this pivotal area."

Topaz's Lloyd's List awards were won in competition with prominent companies and individuals of the maritime community in the Middle East and India. Topaz Marine MENA has won several Lloyd's List awards in recent years and was a finalist in three other categories of the evening; 'Energy', 'Innovation' and 'Ship of the Year'.

Topaz was also represented as a finalist through Topaz Marine Repair in the 'Shipbuilding/ Ship Repair' category.
