The submissions from talented young media enthusiasts in over 20 countries are currently being shortlisted by a panel of media professionals selected by the International Advertising Association (IAA)- UAE chapter. The shortlisted entries for the awards that will be presented by the Ziad Galadari Group will be announced at a press conference on 15 November at Dubai Media City.

Themed 'Let It Out', the Ibda'a Student Awards welcomed online submissions this year as part of its endeavour to facilitate wider participation from talented youngsters. Open to all undergraduates and fresh graduates of the 2008-2009 academic year, the Ibda'a Awards accepted entries from 16 August - 8 October.

Mohammad Abdullah, Executive Director, Dubai Media City, said:
"We have received tremendous response to the Ibda'a Student Awards that has attracted some of the most creative works from talented youngsters this year. Continuing with our commitment to offer a suitable platform for the creatively-inclined students, the Ibda'a Awards will help showcase their capabilities and guide them to realise their aspirations on the international media arena."

Our support for the Ibda'a Student Awards is one such manifestation of these elements.
