Running from 10 to 12 of November, 2009 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), the opening day has seen strong support from visitors and delegates from across the region.

Crafted by IIR Middle East Life Sciences, the organisers of the annual Arab Health Exhibition & Congress, Dentistry 2009 is an opportunity for delegates to attend a selection of workshops in various dental specialities which will provide a strong clinical aspect to the conference. Attendance at a lecture or workshop will carry CME credits, and delegates can expect to leave the event with tangible solutions aimed at saving time and increasing efficiency at their respective practices.

During the inaugural speech, Dr Asmat Lone, Chairman of the Advisory Committee of Dentistry 2009, was keen to highlight the importance of world-class speakers at such an event.

"Dental practices today are becoming increasingly reliant on achieving environmental as well as clinical excellence," he explained. "Not only must treatment be of a world-class standard but it must be delivered in a safe and friendly environment in order for patients to feel as comfortable as possible during their treatment. Dentistry 2009 brings together in one location, top clinicians from around the world to share their expertise which enables development in the region's dentistry field."

"Dentistry 2009 is an iconic meeting for continuing dental education in the field, providing a solid platform for interaction amongst dentistry professionals in the region," Dr. Ninette Banday, Head of Dental Services SEHA said. "In order to stay up-to-date dentist's must seize every opportunity to learn and this means not only attending the CME accredited conferences available such as Dentistry 2009 but also interacting with exhibiting companies who play a vital role in the dental profession by providing us with the latest tools and technologies in our trade."

Running beside the conference is a major exhibition showcasing a wide range of products including imaging software, impression materials, hand instruments and implant systems from leading regional and global suppliers.

Dentoflex, an implant system manufacturer from Brazil, recognises the importance and potential of the Middle Eastern healthcare market and believes showcasing their products at Dentistry 2009 is a great way to realise this potential.

"Although not our first time exhibiting in the Middle East, this is our first time at Dentistry 2009 in Abu Dhabi," says Flavio Moscardo, Export Manager, Dentoflex. "Our target market is the region's implantologists and our product range stands out for its extensive range and variations on offer."
