DuPont conducts seminars in Saudi Arabia on Halon replacement and advantages of FM-200 as agent of choice

DuPont, one of the leading market-driven science companies, has concluded seminars across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to present information on the different Halon replacement technologies, the developments in the clean agent industry since the Halon ban, and the use of FM-200 as a Halon replacement and clean agent choice.

FM-200 systems reach extinguishing levels in 10 seconds or less, and assure business continuity and safety of assets. The FM-200 gas is safe for personnel and has been used in over 300,000 applications in more than 70 nations. It is capable of stopping ordinary combustible, electrical, and flammable liquid fires before they cause significant damage and is highly suitable for enclosed spaces.

Various engineers, consultants, OEM and OEM distributors and professionals involved in the fire protection industry were invited to learn more about the suppressant's superior features during DuPont seminars held from November 8 to November 11, 2009 in Khobar, Jeddah and Riyadh.

DuPont's Neil Roberts, Business Manager for Fire Extinguishants in the EMEA Region, Dr. Mark Robbin, Senior Technical Services Consultant, and Mohammed Shehabi, Regional Manager for Specialty Fluorochemicals in the ME Region introduced Dupont, discussed Halon replacement technology, and confirmed FM-200 as the best choice for Halon replacement and clean agent systems, respectively.
