DTCM and KHDA officials discuss cooperation

Officials of Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) and Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) discussed ways of cooperation and exchange of expertise in various domains, including customer services and marketing and promotion of the emirate globally.
The visit was part of the efforts of both DTCM and KHDA to enhance excellence in performance in general and customer services in particular.
Established by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, KHDA aims to develop the education and human resource sectors in the emirate, bringing it on par with international standards and prevalent best practices, while keeping in mind the requirements of the job market.
Mr. Eyad briefed the delegation about various DTCM initiatives to promote and market Dubai across the world as the leading business and leisure destination.
He also highlighted various programmes the department had conducted and planning to launch to improve its services and facilities provided to the tourism industry and tourists.

DTCM is the principal authority for the development of tourism in Dubai. Established in 1997, it is the sole licensing body for the hotel establishments and tourism-related businesses.
