The event allowed students and alumnae to see the importance of networking in order to learn about opportunities and secure employment. Students spoke with company representatives about the skills and qualifications those companies were seeking. This inside knowledge helped students to make informed decisions about jobs they may be qualified for. As a result, students were able to make more effective job applications.
"Employer events such as this give us an ideal opportunity to network with employers and to find out the skills employers are looking for in the current UAE job market. The Career Fair gave us a better understanding of what career opportunities are available to us in the local market,"
said Mai Al Dhaheri, an ADWC student.
Over 500 students and alumnae attended the event to find out about employment opportunities, including part-time and summer positions. The anticipated result is that a large number of ADWC students will soon be employed throughout the Emirate.
