Saudi Telecom Company signs partnership agreement with Real Madrid Football Club

STC (Saudi Telecom Company), the regional telecommunications service provider, has signed a partnership agreement with Real Madrid Football Club. The event which took place in the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium at the headquarters of Real Madrid was attended by HRH Prince Saud bin Nayef Al Saud, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Spain.

The announcement was made by HE Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser, STC Chairman and was attended by Eng. Saud Al Daweesh, STC Group CEO. Real Madrid stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Mahamadou Diarra also took part in the event.

Dr. Al Jasser explained that the agreement covers the mobile telecommunications sectors in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Indonesia for a period of 4 seasons during which STC will be given 12 minutes of every game played at home to be used for promotional purposes on the stadium. Other features of this deal includes training 70 youth during summer season as well as organizing trips to attend Real Madrid games in all matches whether locally or internationally for subscribers to Real Madrid mobile.

Announcing the deal, Florentino Perez, President of Real Madrid, said:

Dr. Muhammad Al-Jasser, Chairman of Saudi Telecom, said, "Signing with one of the world's greatest football clubs forms a strategic partnership that extends STC sports sponsorship into the GCC and all the way to South East Asia, bringing exciting and exclusive benefits to fans of the legendary team across the two regions. Now, STC subscribers can have access to Real Madrid mobile content including news, official videos of the team, official club photos of the famous players and official java games."

Dr. Al-Jasser went on to say, "The STC - Real Madrid partnership gives STC promotional and PR rights, and access to Real Madrid advertising platforms including perimeter advertising in the world famous Bernabeu stadium, Real Madrid TV and Realmadrid.com. STC also has the option of bringing Real Madrid to Saudi Arabia for a friendly game. In all, it's a sweet deal for our subscribers and raises STC's profile worldwide."
