In a continuing effort to spread healthy living and weight management awareness in the Kuwaiti community and following the success of the first cycle, which empowered people to lose 700 kilos and tested close to 1850 people in just four months, GHK expert nutritionists from Diet Care and Taiba Hospital, the sister founders of the initiative, tested and assessed every individual's nutritional and weight status, through on-spot testing of blood, glucose, cholesterol, and weight analysis. The nutritionists also provided one-on-one free private consultations, which included a detailed analysis of the person's health status, problems, and specific guidelines to lead a healthier lifestyle.

GHK Chief Nutritionist and Diet Care Operations Manager, Sami Al Bader said, "Kuwait has lost more than 700 kilos in the first 4 months since its launch due to our continuous visits to private businesses, schools, government sectors, and public centers. By providing real-life results that were sometimes alarming to people, we were able to provide the necessary case-by-case consultations to empower the individual to take immediate action. Personal results created perspective and built consciousness for each individual on the importance of healthy decisions."

Gethealthykuwait.com (GHK) is a community initiative that aims to provide every individual in Kuwait the opportunity for free on-spot testing and free nutritional consultation by expert dietitians from Diet Care and Taiba Hospital. As part of its on-going community outreach efforts, they conduct weekly visits and provide free testings and consultations as well as nutrit consultations to each individual.

GHK's Head of Testings and Taiba Hospital's Chief Operating Officer Rashed Al Fadala said:

"According to the World Health Organization, over 26% of Kuwaitis suffer from Diabetes and its complications and over 80% of Kuwait is overweight. We are spreading health awareness in the community to tackle the problem at its core, but we are also compiling our own results and statistics through our one-on-one consultations and case-by-case results to gain a better understanding of Kuwait's health situation at ground zero before the dangers worsen."

To motivate and inspire people, gethealthykuwait.com is offering a free vacation for three people to the magical island of Bali, Indonesia, for the person who loses the most percentage of his body weight. The winner of the first cycle is Ivan Kristovic, with the highest percentage of weight loss of 8.8%. People will now have a second opportunity to reach their weight goals and health requirements during its second cycle as new tickets will be issued next year to Bali for the top three people enrolled in GHK with the most percentage of body weight loss.

The team will also extend to every individual, couple, and family the opportunity to subscribe to a nutritional or weight-loss program provided by Diet Care at a heavily discounted rate as part of Diet Care's efforts to help people overcome their weight challenges. On their part, Taiba Hospital is offering up to 50% discounts on full medical check-ups for every GHK participant. Once enrolled at GHK, every member receives free access to Diet Care's dietitians and better health sessions provided by Diet Care and Taiba Hospital.
