HCT and Raytheon to explore opportunities in math and science education

Raytheon Company and the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to work together in developing opportunities in enhancing science and mathematics education in the United Arab Emirates.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Abu Dhabi by HE Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of Technology and William Swanson, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Raytheon Company on 11st November, 2009.

Raytheon and HCT will explore ways to collaborate to enhance science and mathematics learning in the UAE, and examine the benefits of learning models such as MathMovesU and other potential applications. In addition, they will investigate industry/academia partnerships that help nurture and enhance research and technology capabilities.

Raytheon is a technology and innovation leader specializing in defense, homeland security and other government markets throughout the world. With a history of innovation spanning 87 years, Raytheon provides state-of-the-art electronics, mission systems integration and other capabilities in the areas of sensing; effects; and command, control, communications and intelligence systems, as well as a broad range of mission support services.
