Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed, said:
"The Dubai World Championship reflects the UAE's continuous support of all recreational sports and golf in particular. We are certain that the tournament will further enhance Dubai's position as one of the world's leading cities in hosting world-class sporting events."
With just over a week until the Dubai World Championship begins, grandstands have been erected and finishing touches are being added to the Championship Village which will offer a range of entertainment for the whole family away from the action on the course, including live bands, free golf lessons and a Kid's Zone.
The Earth course, as well as the neighbouring Fire course, is set to open to a limited number of members on December 1.
