Since launching in Bahrain in early 2008, Wafi Gourmet has quickly become established as one of Manama's leading restaurants and delicatessens, and is known for its quality Lebanese fare and unparalleled ambience. This latest addition to
Air Miles' portfolio will see members able to earn 3 Air Miles per Bahraini Dinar spent on all food and beverage purchases.

Awny Ahmed, Head of Commercial for Air Miles Middle East, said, "The Wafi Gourmet brand has grown at a phenomenal pace during recent years and we are delighted to welcome to the family and expect it will be a popular addition to our portfolio, particularly amongst the food lovers. Members visiting the restaurant will also have the option to earn double their Air Miles simply by using their HSBC Credit Card along with their blue Air Miles Card."

Mahmood Tamin, General Manager Wafi Gourmet supported Ahmed's optimism, "We have earned ourselves a great reputation in Bahrain; however we know how important it is to maintain a competitive edge in this industry and recognise the value of a well-executed loyalty programme like Air Miles. We aim to gain a greater understanding of our customers which will assist us in delivering excellence in terms of quality, service and customer satisfaction. The alliance is also a fantastic way to reward customer loyalty and offer value for money."

The internationally owned loyalty company has undergone rapid expansion since it launched in Bahrain two years ago, with over 140,000 members joining the scheme and over 1.2 billion Air Miles issued to date.

"Bahrain is an important market for Air Miles and one where we have experienced consistent growth each year. The scheme has proved to be an extremely effective tool for retailers looking to stay ahead of the competition and this has inevitably attracted more participants. Expanding our partner network is a fundamental part of our corporate strategy as we aim to extend the range of locations and sectors our members can earn and redeem miles," added Ahmed.
