CBB meets Bahrain Association of Banks

The Central Bank of Bahrain Governor, Mr. Rasheed Al Maraj met today with the Mr. Mayank Malik, Chairman of the Bahrain Association of Banks 'BAB' and other BAB representatives.
Discussions also touched on business related issues affecting banks and the economy in the Kingdom of Bahrain and progress with the proposed pre-funded deposit protection scheme; as well as new projects planned by the CBB.
Mr. Al Maraj thanked BAB for the organization of their annual dinner which was held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince as well as the annual reception hosted by BAB on the sidelines of annual meetings of the IMF and World Bank.
The Governor also emphasized the importance of the participation by the BAB in such international events in promoting Bahrain as a financial center and strengthening the communication between the banking and financial sector in Bahrain with its counterparts in the world.
