Under the new ICS agreement, SR Technics will provide Etihad with comprehensive component services for its entire Airbus fleet, including future deliveries. The fleet currently consists of more than 40 Airbus A320, A330 and A340 aircraft.

The contract covers a wide range of the SR Technics product offering in the component services field. These include components exchange, maintenance and repair, engineering and logistics services, access to the SR Technics components pool and component management services.

SR Techncis is establishing a component stock in Abu Dhabi, which will enable smooth and seamless local provision of all the components required by Etihad and other local customers.

"We are very proud to be able to contribute to the success of the United Arab Emirates' national airline, and to support Etihad in its major growth plans by providing our tailored maintenance solutions," said Bernd Kessler, CEO of SR Technics. "In doing so, we will be providing Etihad with the leading quality and reliability that are characteristic of the SR Technics brand."

"The ICS agreement marks a further milestone in SR Technics' international market development," Bernd Kessler continues. "At the same time, this partnership with a world-class airline like Etihad is further proof of the successful repositioning of our company, enabling us to offer customers genuine added value through top class services and attractive commercial arrangements."

James Hogan, Etihad Airways' CEO, said:
"As Etihad Airways continues to expand, it is critical that we have high quality MRO suppliers that are able to maintain our growing fleet to the highest standards and in a cost effective manner. The new deal with SR Technics - an affiliate of Abu Dhabi-based Mubadala Development Company - represents an important new partnership for us, and further cements the Emirates' growing status as a global aviation and aerospace centre."

SR Technics' sister company, Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies (ADAT), was also involved in the negotiations leading to the new Etihad ICS agreement. The two MRO partners, both owned by Mubadala Development Company, are creating added value for their customers through the coordination of their strategies and marketing efforts and the provision of joint service offerings.

SR Technics is attending the 2009 Dubai Air Show and welcomes visitors to its exhibition area within the Mubadala booth, C510, Central Hall.
