USAID holds two seminars for two Professional Community groups

- PRESS RELEASE
USAID Jordan Economic Development Program held two seminars for its Human Resources and Strategic Management Professional Communities (PC). The Human Resources PC seminar entitled "Communicating Influentially using Emotional Intelligence" was conducted by Dr Suhail Jouaneh at the Hayat Amman Hotel, and the Strategic Management PC seminar entitled "How to Grow Your Business" conducted by Mr Adnan Ziadat was held at the Landmark Hotel in Amman.
Participants were engaged in team work activities that chose topics of the next executive roundtables which will be launched by the Program as a part of its Professional Communities activities.
PC members meet at regular intervals in a pledge to fortify personal relationships, raise discussions on emerging best practices, introduce best practice tools, and highlight local experiences and successes. Members speak during ERT about experiences gained and lessons learnt, and how they applied these lessons to improve the operation in their respective companies and/or department.
To assist the aims of these PC and provide a further meeting place, SABEQ provides an interactive web portal www.jordanpc.com that consolidates groups' collective intelligence, and provides international resources and expertise. Members contribute to the valuable resources and tools provided by the portal, both international and specific to Jordan, to benefit all community members. Such resources are vetted by an expert and include templates, presentations, articles, white papers, podcasts, RSS feeds, videos, case profiles, and others. A calendar shows upcoming events in which any interested PC member can join, and polls provide members with an opportunity to provide feedback on various professional community topics.
The USAID Jordan Economic Development Program (SABEQ) is a five year broad economic development initiative implemented by Deloitte Consulting LLP and a sizeable team of international and Jordanian partner firms.
By supporting improvements in the business environments and providing assistance to expand innovation and productivity in Jordanian businesses, it supports the main objective of building up the private sector as a powerful engine of economic growth.
