United Development Company opens Bistro 61 in Alfardan Towers

But now with the opening of Bistro 61, in the Alfardan Towers, Doha dinners have found the perfect culinary oasis.

The new Bistro 61 restaurant, which is located just one floor up from the lobby of the elegant Alfardan Towers, via a broad staircase, is stylish but casual. The polished wood floors, gleaming chandeliers and cozy chairs, give diners the impression that they have entered a posh private club.

With its large glass windows, Bistro 61 is airy and cheery during the day - giving the impression that you are dining in a sun-dappled arboretum. And then, after dark, the office lights of all the nearby buildings lend a decidedly more romantic atmosphere.

The service at Bistro 61 - which is named after its official address, Number 61 - is both efficient and friendly. And you receive a warm welcome as soon as you enter the bistro.

Open daily [except Friday] from 7.30am until Midnight, this sophisticated but relaxed restaurant cafe is sure to become a favorite rendezvous with both Doha's busy business people as well as dedicated foodies.

The new restaurant boasts an extensive menu that includes a broad range of starters including salads and soups, as well as such traditional favorites as smoked salmon. Main courses include beef, chicken, lamb and fish. There's also a selection of delicious pizzas as well as an extensive range of dessert pastries, plus coffee, teas and freshly squeezed fruit drinks. And also there are several set Business Lunches.

To mark the official opening of Bistro 61, on the evening of November 15 the United Hospitality Company hosted a special Invitation Only dinner party for special VIPs. The nearly 100 guests, including scores of Doha's senior business executives and dignitaries, were entertained by a violinist from the UK before dinner, and a grand time was had by all.
