- PRESS RELEASE
Boeing has enjoyed a strong and productive 2009 Dubai Airshow, highlighted by a landmark strategic framework agreement, the introduction of new products and capabilities and an unprecedented level of engagement with government and commercial customers and industrial partners.
This agreement marks a key step forward in our commitment to be a trusted partner to the United Arab Emirates and the Middle East region as a whole and paves the way for strong business growth for both Boeing and Mubadala.
The company also debuted new products and capabilities. The Qatar Airways 777-200LR, the world's longest range passenger jet which has been on static display throughout the show, will allow that airline to extend its service to new routes.
On the defense side, the AH-6i helicopter gives regional defense forces an affordable and technologically advanced capability to fulfill a variety of missions.
The Dubai Air Show continues to grow in prominence as an event of global importance for Boeing's commercial and defense sector businesses.
Throughout the week company leaders have successfully met with literally hundreds of customers, suppliers and partners, who are excited and enthused by the products and services the company offers. The organizers are to be congratulated for hosting such a successful show.
