Du announces special roaming tariffs for Hajj Pilgrims

In continuation of special roaming tariff offered to Hajj pilgrims last year, du, today announced special roaming tariffs for both postpaid and prepaid customer's travelling to The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on account of Hajj during 21 November - 12 December.

Congratulating Hajj Pilgrims, Farid Faraidooni, EVP Commercial, du, said:

"On the occasion of Hajj last year, we innovated the idea of offering special tariff to Hajj pilgrims. We have extended the facility of unlimited, free incoming calls to all our customers travelling to The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia this year as well - that will help customers stay in touch with family and friends on this important journey of a lifetime."


All Du mobile customers (Elite Plan, Pay as you Go, Visitor Mobile Line as well as all Business Plan subscribers) will benefit from this promotion while roaming with any service operator in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia - to avail this service, no registration or subscription is required. Roaming customers to the Kingdom will automatically benefit from this offer.

Du subscribers roaming in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) will not be charged for receiving calls (i.e no international call charges apply), Outgoing calls from KSA to UAE will be charged at per minute at a 60second pulse rate.

du's Elite Plan subscribers can continue to enjoy regular, uninterrupted services at regular rates to make calls, send and receive SMS and MMS, access to high speed mobile internet, BlackBerry service and video calling while roaming in KSA. Du Pay as you Go and Visitor Line subscribers can make voice calls; send and receive SMS while roaming with any operator in the Kingdom.

Key customer benefits:

• No charges for receiving any call during the Holy period of Hajj - No international charges apply
• No need to opt in. The benefit is provided by default to all Du Consumer subscribers travelling to KSA during 21 November to 12 December 2009
• The promotion is valid irrespective of the mobile network Du subscribers roam on while in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)
• Du Elite Plan subscribers can enjoy making and receiving calls, sending & receiving SMS and MMS, accessing high speed mobile internet, using BlackBerry services and video calling
• Du Pay as You Go and Visitor Mobile Line subscribers can enjoy making and receiving Voice calls and sending and receiving SMS
