Eco-friendly consumer electronics giant, Panasonic, is providing its customers with superior TV experiences while allowing them to consume less power with Panasonic's Neo PDP and Eco PDP technology.
Powering the new Panasonic Z1 TV is the company's Neo PDP technology. The flagship 1080p plasma incorporates Wireless HD technology, VIERA Cast support, and a 54-inch panel.
At just one inch thick, Panasonic's Neo PDP screens consume 50% less power than normal, and have contrast ratios of 40,000:1 for deep blacks. Panasonic has also reduced the residual light in each cell of the screen to help with black levels. The new plasma screen technology has larger cells to emit more light at lower power, making the screen 50% brighter than usual while consuming the same amount of power as before. The Panasonic Neo PDP is also easy to install.
Panasonic further reinforces its commitment to bringing 'eco ideas' to life today with the launch of the Eco PDP VIERA Plasma Series. This TV series boasts an environmentally-focused design, ensuring lower power consumption, longer panel life, and ultimately lower impact on the environment.
