Sabre Travel signs education deal with one of Gulf's top travel institutes

Bahrain-headquartered Sabre Travel Network Middle East (STNME), world's leading provider of high performance travel solutions), has signed an agreement with Oman's National Hospitality Institute (NHI) to offer Sabre courses to NHI students. This follows a similar agreementl with Al Manar University in Lebanon earlier this year.

Sabre Travel Network provides multi-channel travel technology solutions such as multi-channel retailing, merchandsing and procurement to enable over 55,000 travel agencies and thousands of corporations and government agencies to effeiciently access, shop and book content from airlines, hotels, car rental companies, cruise lines and more.

The NHI is one of the leading providers of quality vocational training for the travel industries in the Gulf region, and provides solutions to the sector whilst simultaneously providing jobs and career planning to all of its students. The Institute has state of the art training facilities in the Wadi Kabir district of Muscat.

Daniel Naoumovitch, Chief Executive Officer of Sabre Travel Network Middle East, explained that because Sabre had been operating in the region for nearly 20 years, it understood the specific requirements of the market and worked to ensure each country's unique needs were met.

On behalf of the NHI, Robert MacLean, Principal, National Hospitality Institute said that the role of the Institute was to hone the skills of its students through an extensive curriculum with a focus on vocational excellence, "Through our courses, we are able to provide a service that is suited to both the employer and the employee. The employer requires training that matches the positions he is trying to fill, and the employee requires certification that is recognised nationally as well as internationally."

"Now with Sabre providing courses for the use of its global distribution system directly to our students, we can rest assured that they will have access to the very latest in travel technology which will ensure that once they leave our training establishment they will be better able to compete for the best jobs in the industry whilst being fully versed in the technical facilities available to travel agencies," MacLean concluded.
