FAS and Abu Dhabi maintain the world record for world's largest aerial banner

FAS first set this World Record in 2007 and will once again tow the aerial banner, which is in fact the UAE National Flag, under a FAS Bell 412 Helicopter along the Abu Dhabi corniche and foreshore between approximately 2.30 PM and 4.00 PM on Wednesday December 2nd.

FAS have just launched a new, dedicated Heliport facility next to Marina Mall and the Abu Dhabi International Marine and Sports Club in support of FAS' ongoing plans for promoting tourism in Abu Dhabi and some of the best views of the banner will be in these areas as the Flag will be circling overhead a number of times during the flight.

Measuring in excess of 50,000 square feet in size, the banner will be visible from up to 20 kilometers away, ensuring it is on show to virtually the entire population of the city of Abu Dhabi.

FAS are the only company in the GCC authorized by their UK based partner, HOBS Limited (Helicopter Overcity Banner Systems) to fly the giant banners. In addition to the record breaking UAE Flag, FAS also fly a number of giant advertising banners for clients, including the Shangri-La Hotel who has the distinction of being the launch customer for aerial banner advertising in Abu Dhabi.
