The Arab Financial and Accounting Forum discusses the G20 Resolutions and their implications

In cooperation with the Bank of Lebanon, the Union of Arab Banks, the Association of Certified Accountants in Lebanon and the International Union of Arab Bankers, Talal Abu-Ghazaleh and Co. International and the Arab Society of Certified Public Accountants will hold the Arab Financial and Accounting Forum to discuss 'The G20 Resolutions: Their Financial, Accounting and Economic Implications' in Beirut during the period 23 - 24 December 2009.
The Forum aims at providing an opportunity for all concerned parties including regulators, businessmen, bankers, auditors and others who have interest in the effects of the crisis from all Arab countries to meet and deliberate on the issues in question, and the effects of the G20 Resolutions on banks, the business sector, the public sector, international funds, the accountants and the accounting profession.
The Forum's agenda includes presentations and discussions on a number of programs that have been developed for this purpose, including the governance testing program, stress testing program, valuation testing program, reserves testing program, cash flow testing program, securities testing program, investment testing program, derivatives testing program, transparency testing program, forensic accounting, and financial asset classification and quantifying program.
The Forum's activities also include a number of workshops in accounting and legal areas to be conducted by experts from Talal Abu-Ghazaleh & Co. International and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Legal.
