Major deals signed during Dubai Drink Technology Expo 2009 with thousands of trade visitors

The second edition of Dubai Drink Technology Expo 2009 was successfully concluded today attracting more than 10,000 trade visitors. Participants have expressed their satisfaction for achieving their targets in this event in addition to the business opportunities they secured by signing commercial agreements and communicating with decision makers in this industry to create and develop new approaches for promoting this industry.

Representative of exhibiting companies have shown great appreciation to the high organization level described by being professional and of international standards.

"We are pleased to participate in Dubai Drink Technology Expo 2009 and have achieved our targets by meeting many decision makers in this industry and discuss the future business opportunities. It is worth mentioning that this exhibition is very well organized and offers a good opportunity for us to showcase our products and services to the Middle East market. The Middle East region represents an important global hub with one of the largest consumer markets in the world that have not been affected by the current global economic slow down" said Miroslav Tzolovm, Sales Manager, Index 6 from Bulgaria.


The Department of Economic Development (DED) officially supported DDTE 2009 through its arm, Dubai Export Development Corporation (EDC) and exclusively participated with a pavilion at the exhibition. DED's participation encouraged further local and regional beverage companies to participate in DDTE as a unique regional beverages event.

Pioneers in the beverage industry from more than 64 countries have participated in DDTE 2009 including France, Italy, Korea, USA, Hong Kong, Germany, Austria, China, and Bangladesh among others. Exhibiting Companies in the show included well-know names like SupplyCore Middle East, SACMI Group, Sidel, Horwal Group, Sure International, Altronix Solutions, and Integrated Packaging Systems FZCO among other.

Among the companies that have signed a number of deals during the show is "Sure International" specialized in beverage packaging solutions, water purification solutions and bottled water accessories.

"We are glad to participate for the second time in Dubai Drink Technology Expo that represents an ideal platform for us to meet experts of this industry and to exchange related knowledge and experience. In addition, we have signed three business deals during the first two days of the show with a total value of $ 4 million and we look to sign more potential agreements during the remaining days of the event". The Arab Asian Beverage Alliance is an educational chapter that was running in conjunction with Dubai Drink Technology Expo. AABA aims to enhance the business relations between manufacturers, producers, logistic services providers, governmental entities in charge of import and export, businessmen and investors in beverages sector within the Arab world and Asia. It focused on topics related to market trends and growth in beverages industry, industry challenges and solutions, protect the environment and going green in the beverages industry in addition to other success stories.

Business to Business (B2B) meetings Program was held in the exhibition to increase the interaction between trade visitors and exhibitors. It is a matching program that assisted in enhancing business and trading deals during the event.

Dubai Drink Technology Expo presents worldwide range of products and services in the area of beverage technology and liquid food. It offers the state-of-the-art technology, logistics solutions, and raw materials for the entire industry which constitutes a vital element to the consumers all over the world. The event focused on promoting the latest drink processing and packaging systems, light machinery, equipment, technology, materials and services to brand owners, retailers, beverage service operators, manufacturers, processors and logistics services providers.

Dubai Drink Technology Expo Conference sessions continued during the three day event where major issues related to beverages industry were presented and discussed. Among the speakers was Martin Fejk, Marketing Director, Tetra Pak who talked about inovation in the packaging industry, Giovanni Bartolucci, Sales Area Manager, Sacmi Labeling, who talked about environment friendly packaging system and production solutions and Angelo Cadeo, General Manager and Chairman, Miteco AG who talked about advanced solutions for producing soft drinks (Fruit Juices and liquid food).

Participants and visitors have all expressed their admiration to the high level of facilities and services provided in Dubai in the Exhibitions and Conferences sector.
