Sukoon Tower signs the Curtain Wall deal

The signing of this strategic agreement took place at the Arabian Aluminium Office in Dubai on 25th, November, 2009 under the presence of Mr. Redha Rajab, Managing Director of Tashyeed Properties Bahrain and Mr. Bashar Kayali, General Manager, Arabian Aluminium, Dubai.

On the occasion of the signing Mr. Redha Rajab stated that "Curtain Wall is one the most significant part of the tower; as it embodies the visual appeal and technical value of the project." He added "A very rigorous selection process was undertaken by Tashyeed Board of Directors to choose the right partner to provide this strategic service and Arabian Aluminium was chosen at the end of the process due to the technical strengths and profile of the company."

Mr. Redha continued by stating that,

"Arabian Alulminium provided Curtain Wall works to Burj Dubai which as of date is the world's tallest tower. This gives us confidence that they have the necessary experience and expertise to meet the project's challenging technical requirements. We also want to assure our customers that the façade for their tower will be provided by a reputed company who have the world's tallest tower as part of their client list."

Mr. Redha concluded by saying that "Sukoon Tower's Aluminum System and Glazing will be based on a consortium of leading global systems and suppliers, the Aluminum system applied will be based on Hermann Gutmann Werke AG; a leading German Aluminum Systems supplier. Conversely the glass used will be sourced from Guardian Industries Corp; a leading American glass supplier and the world's largest manufacturers of float glass and fabricated glass products.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Bashar Kayali stated that "Arabian Aluminum is part of Al Ghurair Construction which focuses on Project Management, design, fabrication and installation of architectural and exterior façade. The manufacturing facilities are planned and designed with the objective of achieving the highest level of manufacturing efficiency and quality." He added that "Arabian Aluminium has executed several iconic projects in Dubai with Burj Dubai being the most reputed project that we have successfully completed."

He continued by saying "Tashyeed Properties is carrying out the works at Sukoon Tower professionally and we look forward to commencing the works for this prestigious project in Bahrain. The curtain wall works for this project will be in line with the Wind Tunnel study carried out by Tashyeed and based on a Unitized System which will ensure fast tracking of the project." He concluded by saying that "We thank Tashyeed for awarding us this prestigious project and we are confident that Sukoon Tower curtain wall works will stand out as an iconic façade in the skyline of Bahrain."

Sukoon Tower is a forty five storey twin residential tower developed by Tashyeed Properties and is presently in construction phase. The project has five levels of podium floors providing car park facility, a large recreation level in the sixth floor with adult and kid's pool, outdoor cafes with vast landscaped areas. The seventh floor level has a vast health club facility and indoor pool. The eight to forty fourth floor level will contain 598 apartments with a mix of studios, one bedroom, two bedroom, three bedroom and four bedroom apartments. Up to sixth floor has been fully completed and seventh floor is in advanced stages of completion and the core wall area has already reached the tenth floor level.
