- United Arab Emirates: Thursday, April 24 - 2003 at 12:37
- PRESS RELEASE
The Empire Hotel & Country Club will be looking to capture new business for Brunei when they join Royal Brunei Airlines and Brunei Tourism at the Arabian Travel Market 2003, the Middle East's foremost travel and tourism exhibition, which will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates in May.
Another important aspect of The Empire's participation at ATM is the opportunity to use this international platform to showcase the attractions of Brunei as a unique and unspoiled tourist destination as well as to network with regional industry players.
"Despite the downturn in the international travel industry and recent global events we are still pressing ahead with our marketing campaign in the Middle East." said Requin "Taking into account the potential of the
Middle East and the propensity of people in the region to travel, we recognise that the Middle East market has extremely good potential for Brunei in the medium to long term and we aim to attract more visitors from this region"
The Empire is a haven of regal opulence and comforts with 423 sumptuous rooms and suites, and 16 private villas surrounded by a par 71, championship golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus, on an 180 acre estate. It is also a Leading Hotel of the World with five restaurants, a choice of international cuisines, and regular visiting celebrity chefs.
Luxury sport and leisure facilities at the Country Club include floodlit golf, driving range and putting green, floodlit tennis, air-conditioned squash and badminton, snooker room, ten pin bowling, gym, fitness centre and spa, three screen cinema with latest releases, theatre, and more. Nearby is an equestrian park and polo club.
Brunei on the north west coast of Borneo is a thriving kingdom with a tradition of gentle hospitality. Known as the Abode of Peace, the Sultanate with its pristine coastline, is over 80% lush countryside with superb rainforest and mangroves, habitat to flora and fauna endemic only to the island.
