Arsenal Soccer Schools launches world class training systems for youngsters in Oman

One of the world's most famous soccer teams, Arsenal launches their internationally renowned Arsenal Soccer Schools in Oman for the first time. This will be the first international soccer school to establish itself in the Sultanate and the much awaited project is brought to Oman in partnership with Mosaic Sports LLC who anticipates a huge response from youngsters in a country where soccer is the number one sport and played on nearly any area of beach or land all over the nation.

Arsenal Soccer Schools in Oman will be based at the Muscat Club in Wadi Kabir and will be led by Arsenal accredited coaches who are being recruited from the UK.

The school was launched during an Arsenal Soccer Schools festival where youngsters from across the Muscat area enjoyed playing in a fun tournament while having the opportunity to be the first to register to receive the very best international quality coaching.

Paul Shipwright, the Arsenal's Soccer Schools International Manager, flew to Oman to help celebrate the launch, and said, "Arsenal Soccer Schools is delighted to bring our quality coaching systems and way of playing to one of the most enthusiastic soccer nations in the world."

Shipwright added, "I have only been in the country a few hours but have seen youngsters playing everywhere on the beach or any piece of spare land. We are very proud to bring our playing philosophy to Muscat and were delighted to be working with Mosaic Sports to establish our fourth franchise in the region."

"Football fever is running high after the recent visit of Brazil and we look forward to welcoming hundreds of young players and teaching them to play the Arsenal way," he said.

It was the vision, tenacity and enthusiasm of Mihir and Hritik Khimji, the owners of Mosaic Sports that has brought Arsenal to Oman. A passionate football fan, Mihir Khimji, said, "We are tremendously proud to be bringing Arsenal Soccer Schools to Oman and giving youngsters across the country the opportunity to learn to play soccer in the most exciting and dynamic way while having great fun at the same time."

Khimji added, "Arsenal is one of the world's most famous football brands with a reputation for delivering the very best coaching to youngsters and instilling habits that have helped create some of the world's most talented players."

Speaking in a pre-recorded message at the launch Arsenal Head Coach, Arsène Wenger added, "The training programmes in our Arsenal Soccer Schools have been developed based on the same principles we teach our first team players: developing young players' technical skills and passion for the game to ensure that they become the best players they possibly can."

Wenger added, "We are very excited to be launching our latest Arsenal Soccer School in Oman in association with our partners Mosaic Sports where our coaches will offer boys and girls, of all ages and abilities, the opportunity to play the 'Arsenal Way'."

Registration is now opening for youngsters to apply to train with Arsenal Soccer Schools.

Arsenal Soccer Schools already operates in Bahrain, Cairo and Dubai in the region.
