LINKdotNET announced the launch of its latest online education package LINK2School. This new package includes a lot of services amongst which: 'virtualClassroom' allowing a direct interaction between the student and the professor through the internet using computer monitors and the leased line in addition to providing several special internet offers for school students.

LINKdotNET, in cooperation with LINK Development, the leading regional software development company, and based on using the latest Microsoft technologies, introduced the VirtualClassroom services as one of LINK2School package services allowing students to attend virtual classes and interact with the professors through the internet and take the educational experience on another online level, particularly at times where travel and health restrictions are a growing concern.

LINKdotNET is offering this new package to schools and all academic institutions at special rates starting EGP 20/ month per student. This will allow any student to attend VirtualClassrooms and directly interact with the professor.

Mr. Karim Beshara, CEO LINKdotNET, stated that:
"Since LINKdotNET is always eager on being the first in the region to introduce interactive packages, and because we believe that the technology empowers individuals and institutions, we were keen on offering special educational solutions to ensure the continuity of education that has recently been frequently interrupted by the spread of H1N1 virus. Accordingly, we developed the VirtualClassroom program as part of LINK2School package for schools, universities and all educational institutions at an affordable rate."

"With an increasing number of schools closing their doors during the academic year due to H1N1 threats, LINK Development is striving to provide alternative means to ensure the academic year continuity for schools and universities alike," commented Hanan Abdel Meguid, CEO LINK Development.

It is also worth mentioning that VirtualClassroom service is the perfect solution to avoid spreading the virus through physical interaction. It is also highly cost-effective for all parties in terms of direct and managing expenses, as a result of it being a totally hosted application.

VirtualClassroom offers a wide variety of interactive tools to maintain as real a classroom feeling as possible. Through the VirtualClassroom web portal that manages schedules, participation, and calendaring, students and teachers can share applications, presentations, documents, reports as well as holding audio-video conferences, by means of this amazing V-class client tool that makes all the document sharing, interaction, and video conferencing possible.

VirtualClassroom is hosted and operated by LINK Datacenter, one of the largest datacenters in the Middle East in terms of site visits and web traffic.

Worth mentioning that LINK2School package includes free training to school teachers and university professors on the usage of the hosted application as well as providing dedicated technical support 24/7.

Besides the e-learning, we are now in the process of developing other similar packages in order to serve all different entities.
