Online recruitment facility of Dubai eGovernment draws appreciation from job seekers

The Dubai eGovernment stand, which highlighted the long-term vision of this distinctive project and offered young visitors a window to the career opportunities in the government sector, was the focus of attention at the recently concluded Careers UAE 2003.
"Careers UAE presented us with an excellent platform to showcase what Dubai eGovernment has to offer to young graduates looking to start a career. Our team of experts offered young visitors guidance on the integral online recruitment solution that will assist them to access every major government department and corporation to find an opening according to their ability and qualifications," said Salem Al-Shair, Director e-Services, Dubai eGovernment.
"We were deeply encouraged by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid's visit and will fully implement his instructions to boost the skills and opportunities for UAE nationals in the Information Technology sector as well as open the doors of opportunity for them within the government and private sector enterprises. We are strongly committed to Emiratisation and are developing our portal www.dubai.ae to make it more user friendly to assist young students who are looking for career opportunities. Young specialists can also be part of the management of the back-end systems that run Dubai eGovernment which is the driving force behind automation and integration of government e-Services," Al-Shair added.
The Dubai eGovernment stand at Careers UAE was well appreciated by the student community. Tamazor Ali, a student majoring in Information Systems and Education at the Zayed University, felt that the stand was well equipped to respond to the needs of the student community entering into the job market. "Their online recruitment service presents students with an ideal solution and eases their job search by reducing time and unnecessary paperwork. The staff at the stand was extremely cooperative and they provided a complete demonstration of the online procedures of how to qualify and also how to match qualifications with the job specifications that have been provided. Visiting the Dubai eGovernment stand was an informative experience," said Ali.
Dubai eGovernment will be placing a strong focus on IT jobs available in the Emirate, in view of the large-scale investments being made by the government in the IT sector.
