Qatar Foundation implements Oracle E-Business Suite to streamline business operations

Hyperlink, which is the Middle East's leading consulting firm specializing in the integration of technology to support business objectives, has begun implementing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution for Qatar Foundation, a non-profit educational organization, using the Oracle E-Business Suite.

The Qatar Foundation undertakes a series of varied and far-reaching programmes in the fields of education, health and community development.

The Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development is a private, non-profit organization, which was founded in 1995 on the personal initiative of His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Emir and Head of the State of Qatar.

Based on the philosophy that people are a country's most valuable resource, the Qatar Foundation works to ensure the full development of current and future generations through a series of varied and far-reaching programs.

In order to achieve its objectives, a number of separate but interrelated bodies have been established within the Foundation, working in the fields of education, health and community development.

Hyperlink's Oracle-based solution will automate the Financials, Human Resources, and Distribution set-ups within the Qatar Foundation. The solution will help the Foundation to streamline its financial and human resources procedures within different centers providing accurate information, timely reporting, embedded operational and financial control as well as budget control.

The Oracle applications will cover the corporate requirements in the back office financials at the Qatar Foundation. It will facilitate distribution and purchasing, project modules, human resources and payroll including Oracle's HR self service and training administration modules to handle training departments in various companies. The solution, which offers strong multimedia support, is web enabled.
