Sharjah to host regional Radisson SAS meet

Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts is to stage its regional general managers meeting in Sharjah - where it now operates a 301-roomed resort property.

General managers from throughout the Middle East will attend the meeting, which is aimed at planning the chain's regional strategy.

'We will be looking at recent performance, benchmarking ourselves against competitors, assessing where we go from here and identify future partner marketing initiatives,' said Mike Pilkington, Regional Director, Sales & Marketing, Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts, Middle East and Africa.

The three-day event will begin on May 4 and will coincide with the run-up to the Arabian Travel Market, the region's premier travel exhibition, which will be held in Dubai.

'Radisson SAS will have a strong presence at ATM where it will be featured on the stand of its mother company - Rezidor SAS,' explained Pilkington. 'Representatives from Radisson SAS properties throughout the Middle East and Europe will attend the show.'

Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts now has a Middle East and African network spanning 14 properties in Amman, Aqaba, Bahrain, Beirut, Cape Town, Istanbul, Jeddah, Kuwait, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, Sharm el Sheikh, Taba and Yanbu. Two more Egyptian properties in Hurghada and Al Quesir are in the pipeline, while Turkey will see two more Radisson SAS hotels in Ankara and Istanbul.
