To celebrate the phenomenal success of the Domenico Vacca brand in Qatar, organizers chose Porto Arabia's glamorous just-opened Lebanese restaurant, Burj Al-Hamam, for its marvelous sea views and elegant decor as the setting for first full scale fashion show at The Pearl-Qatar.
The stylish social event attracted scores of Doha's notable fashionable ladies and socialites, and featured innovative designs combining traditional Italian elegance, with the famous Domenico Vacca originality. The new collection's exciting new color palette included peach gradations, soft greys, sapphire blues, and warm coppery golds, in addition to nuances of white, yellow, turquoise green and the ever fashionable black. The dominating fabrics in the show were light and lovely linens - perfect for spring time in Qatar.
Speaking about the market in Qatar, and what makes products by Domenico Vacca truly special, the Italian design guru, said:
"I believe there is a natural chemistry between Qatar and Domenico Vacca's chic, sophisticated, designs for men and women. I believe all our products will do very well here in Doha because Qatari clients are very sophisticated and have a high sense of style."
"Women are very much into accessories and handbags in alligator and other exotic skins. And men are in love with our fine fabrics for suits, for jackets, shirts and ties. Everything in our men's ready to wear collection is sewn by hand. We have introduced the authentic Neapolitan sartorial fit into the major world markets which have become very popular today, along with two-button shirt collar and triple stitch shoes," Vacca added.
"For women, there is emphasis on our beautiful handbags in precious alligator skins in 50 different colors, as well as three-button high collar silk shirts and a very chic and sexy hand-made women's ready-to-wear collection. We also believe that our jewelry collection for men and women will do very well [in Qatar] because of their modern and chic design. We have also been selling our furniture collection made by hand in real alligator very well," said Vacca.
