Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa appoints Juthoor Real Estate to manage new Al Mazaar Souk

The luxurious five-star Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa in the Sultanate of Oman has announced the appointment of Juthoor Real Estate to strategically manage the new prestigious Al Mazaar Souk that is scheduled to open early next year.

The new appointment was announced on behalf of the Zubair Corporation and follows the existing role that Juthoor has taken as strategic consultants on the the luxurious Barr Al Jissah Residences real estate project that is now successfully nearing completion.

The new Al Mazaar Souk forms part of the Zubair Corporation's fully integrated world-class leisure and tourism project - the Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa.

The vision for the new Al Mazaar Souk is for it to become Oman's latest unique shopping destination that will attract mixed traditional authentic outlets offering the most unique shopping experience.

Al Mazaar means uniting together - and the new souk plans to showcase Oman's heritage whilst promoting Omani culture, combining Omani international flavors from retail to cuisine to ensure it becomes a destination for international visitors, Oman Nationals and expatriates to enjoy.

Juthoor Real Estate CEO, Jose Lora, brings 30 years of international retail experience to the dynamic project including commercial, industrial and other mixed-use projects. He has successfully consulted, managed and provided real estate services to world renowned shopping centers and entertainment centers.

To date some of his most distinguished retail work includes the Galleria in Washington DC which includes Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Macy's and the Ritz Carlton. Additional work includes The Parks at Allington and the expansions of the Chula Vista Centre and the Satellite Project in Mexico City.

Commenting on their appointment to help develop the new souk, Jose Lora, said, "We are delighted to be offered the opportunity to use our international retail expertise to develop Oman's latest new boutique shopping destination. The new souk will be established next to the existing Heritage Village in the Barr Al Jissah commercial complex at to the Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa.

Commenting on Oman's latest dynamic retail project, Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa General Manager, Arbind K.
