Residential property demand rises in Dubai

A new report sales of residential properties in Dubai are on the rise, but rents in commercial spaces will continue to fall in 2010 due to oversupply. There has beeen a marked increase in sales and rental activity in the residential sector, targeting more mid-range quality and locations since October, said property consulting company Landmark Advisory. 'The flight to quality trend, witnessed in Dubai over the past six to nine months, continues to be driven by value-conscious middle-income end-users and families focused especially on value and size,' said Jesse Downs, director of research and advisory services at Landmark Advisory.
