New concept in medicine retailing launched

The first MEDSHOP outlet is inaugurated by Dr. Easa Bin Jakka Al Mansoori, Director- Drug Control Department, Ministry of Health, UAE at Karama Dubai. Dr. Moopen's Group has plans to convert its outlets to MEDSHOP in this year and to open a chain of MEDSHOP's in UAE and other GCC countries in the future.

MEDSHOP concept is conceived by the experience of Dr. Moopen's Group over the last 15 years and designed as a futuristic Pharmacy by leading consultants keeping in mind the needs of a traditional Pharmacy with a unique ambience. The store has dedicated counters for chronic illnesses like Diabetes, Hypertension, Cardiac diseases, and has a complete range of Skin Care & Body Care. MEDSHOP has a dedicated area for Home Healthcare and Medical Equipment. A qualified dietician is available to provide free dietary advice for the patients in the MEDSHOP.

MEDSHOP also has an online medicine store which can be accessed thru www.medshopme.com . The site is a complete Pharmacy and items can be viewed and ordered online. The site is a user friendly e-commerce portal with classified listings for Baby Care, Diabetic Care, and Medical Equipment and prescription medicines. The site will only act as an extension of the MEDSHOP retail pharmacy and will adhere to all the Ministry of Health guidelines in issuing medicines.

Delivery will be done by MEDSHOP pharmacists after checking with the customers over telephone. An e-mail facility is available for the customers to ask any personal questions or assistance in selecting the right medicine or allied products.
