The 600-square-meter space is located on Salwa Road facing Mitsubishi Motors and provides plenty of parking for customer, ease-of-use and time efficiency.
Mr. Bader El-Darwish, Darwish Holding Chairman, noted the growth of 51 East as a precursor to the center opening, saying:
"Moving to this new location was a must, especially considering the increase in sales volume and expansion of our 51 East brands within the past few years. We needed a larger space with easier access and designed this new center to better meet the needs of our clients and their electronics purchases. Our goal is to always exceed customer needs and provide the sterling service 51 East is known for."
Sony Gulf Managing Director, Mr. Osamu Miura, commented on Sony's long-standing partnership with Darwish Holding, 51 East's parent company, noting, "It is always a pleasure to be in Qatar, a country that amazes me each time I visit. I wish to congratulate Darwish Holding for its continuous efforts supporting the Sony brand in Qatar and for consistently striving to meet the needs of its customers while elevating the quality of its service. Darwish Holding is a partner whom we greatly value. We are continually impressed by its entrepreneurial spirit and aggressiveness in the market. I would like to wish 51 East, Darwish Holding and the Darwish family success and prosperity as they grow and Sony looks forward to a fruitful partnership in the years to come."
The opening of the new electronics service center comes on the heels of 51 East's City Center showroom revamp, making the retail space one of the most contemporary shopping areas in City Center. The company will also launch its new 13,000-square-meter, two-storey flagship store at Lagoona Mall late next year. The Lagoona 51 East flagship store's size and scope will make it the largest retail showroom in the Middle East.
