HSBC UAE to bring in counter charges
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, December 28 - 2009 at 10:26
HSBC Bank has confirmed that it plans to introduce charges for over-the-counter transactions next year, Emirates Business has reported. "It is true that the transactions done over the counter will be made chargeable in the future. But I don't want to commit any date for the same, but this will be introduced sooner [rather] than later," a senior corporate communications official has told the newspaper. The decision aims to divert all counter transactions to electronic machines installed at different locations, the lender said.
