ADIA in JV bid for UK electricity network

The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority has partnered with the Canadian Pension Plan to mount a joint £5bn bid for the EDF electricity network that distributes power to millions of homes in the south-east of England, the Sunday Telegraph has reported. Bankers from Goldman Sachs and boutique advisory firm Lexicon Partners have been appointed to advise the consortium on its bid, the newspaper said.
