Thirty manmade islands for Dubai

Eight contractors have prequalified for a USD409m reclamation project to create 30 manmade islands off the coast of Dubai between Port Rashid and the Palm Jumeirah Island, according to MEED. The Globe Archipelago project has islands ranging from 40,000 to 800,000 square metres in size. This is the third offshore tourism project under construction by Nakheel, formerly Dubai Palm Developers, and wholey owned by the Dubai Government.
