Kuwaiti firm to spend $1.1bn on projects in 2010

Kuwait Gulf Oil Co (KGOC) plans to spend about 328 million dinars ($1.14bn) on oil and gas projects in 2010, the company's managing director, Bader al-Khashti, told al-Rai newspaper. 'The budget allocated for capitalism and operational projects is about 1.21 billion dinars, to be spent over the span of the five-year plan 2009-2013,' he told the daily. 'The amount of the firm's investments on oil and gas projects during 2010 only is about 328 million dinars.'
