Egypt attracts $42.4bn FDI in five years

Mahmoud Mohieldin, Egyptian investment minister has said his country had managed to attract $42.4bn in Foreign Direct Investment between 2004 and 2009, Kuna has reported. The minister made the remarks on the occasion of publishing of the country's annual economic report. The report indicates that despite the increase of foreign and Arab investments for the year 2008-09, Egyptian investments in the country took the bigger portion of overall investment with 72% while foreign investment took 15%, and Arab investment had 13%.
