Industrial Electrical & Electronics Conference in Bahrain in May

The First GCC Industrial Electrical & Electronics Conference will be held on May 13-14, 2003 at the Gulf International Convention & Exhibition Centre in Manama, Bahrain.
"This is the first time that such an event is held within the Middle East and the intention of the IEEE Sections in the Gulf is to organize it on a yearly basis" said Jaafar Al Ibrahim, Secretary, IEEE Saudi Arabia section. "The conference is set to offer attendees a unique perspective on the future shape of applications of various technologies in the computing, electrical & electronics industries and will serve as a platform for promoting world wide standards in the Middle East", he added.
This conference is technically co-sponsored by IEEE, the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers. Dedicated to advancing the theory and application of Electrical engineering, electronics and computing, IEEE is a non-profit association, a leading authority in technical areas and engages in standards developing, technical publishing and conferences.
Ericsson, Saudi Telecom Company and Al-Falak are platinum sponsors while Al-Alamiyah and STRATO are gold sponsors for this event that will bring together many consulting engineers and professionals from within and outside the Middle East.
The "Electrical & Electronics" exhibition will run along side the conference. Manufacturers and vendors related to the electrical & electronics industry such as ITEA-International, Schneider Electric Gulf, Microsoft, Almisehal Group of Companies, WESCOSA and Future Technologies, among others, will showcase their latest products and technologies during this exhibition.
