Rashid Al Ansari, Vice-President, Dubai Industrial City, a member of TECOM Investments, said: "We are delighted to welcome Bafco to Dubai Industrial City and look forward to building a mutual long term relationship. The company's decision to locate their factory in the destination reinforces our vision of providing the industrial sector with a cost competitive environment that is supported by world class business processes and a host of ancillary facilities and services".
Fattahi added: "Bafco's expansion is a result of the trust bestowed upon us by our partners and clients for continuously supporting the growth of their businesses with quality and value office furniture and creative executions for their corporate workplaces. Bafco aims to achieve the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification for its new facility. LEED was developed by US Green Building Council as a rating system to set a standard for environmentally sustainable construction. It encourages projects to source their project requirements in a manufacturing facility within 800 km of the building site to reduce carbon emissions associated with transportation and storage.
