Bahrain Economic Development Board launches international advertising campaign around CNN's Davos coverage

CNN International today announced that the Bahrain Economic Development Board will launch an international advertising campaign around the network's coverage of the 2010 World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, for the third year.

The advertising campaign spans the event, offering the BEDB exposure to CNN audiences - both on air and online - which are available in over 200 million households worldwide.

In addition to spots around CNN's daily television coverage from Davos, the BEDB sponsor a series of vignettes entitled 'The Agenda' and 'Davos Debrief' airing throughout CNN's coverage to offer viewers insights into the Davos programme and quick turnaround reactions to meetings.

'The Agenda' is a series of at-a-glance graphics giving the rundown of the day at WEF while 'Davos Debrief' showcases the most compelling sound-bites from WEF's most news-making interviews. These complement a series of 'Forward Looking' vignettes featuring extracts from key figures attending the Forum, and outlining the main issues to be discussed. On CNN.com, the World Economic Forum microsite will also feature exclusive BEDB branding, in addition to continued run-of-site banner advertising.

Kamal Ahmed, Chief Operating Officer of the Bahrain Economic Development Board says,

"A high level delegation from Bahrain is attending Davos to be part of this important global economic forum. Our association with CNN, one of the world's most influential news broadcasters, will help the Bahrain EDB to make a strong case for future investment and partnerships. Even in these challenging times, the GCC's trillion dollar market is expanding and Bahrain offers the perfect base to make the most of opportunities for sustainable growth."

Rani R. Raad, Senior Vice President, CNN International Ad Sales, adds, "Bahrain is one of the fastest growing economies in the Middle East and World Economic Forum is a natural fit for the BEDB to reach our audience of global opinion formers and influencers. We're delighted that our partnership with the BEDB remains an enduring and successful one"

CNN is live throughout the forum with anchors Richard Quest and John Defterios leading the network's unrivalled coverage. In addition to regular updates and interviews with the world's top business and political leaders, a 30 minute summary show, 'Dateline Davos' will end CNN's week of programming. In 'Dateline Davos', Richard Quest looks back at the best parts of this year's World Economic Forum in Davos and we hear from the biggest names from the world's of business and politics.
