PKF The Consulting House launches 'MarketMirror'

  • United Arab Emirates: Monday, February 01 - 2010 at 12:24
  • PRESS RELEASE

PKF The Consulting House launch a new market monitoring application "MarketMirror" which provides a quarterly market snapshot and overview of the regional hospitality and real estate markets.

The application is an innovative, easy to use, "at a glance" graphic format with two further drill-down levels delivered via email and the company web site.

The PKF MarketMirror is based on in-house market research combined with qualitative evaluations of external information. It is an informative application, providing a quarterly reflection of market performances in the real estate sectors of hospitality, residential, retail and commercial offices. Regional markets covered to date include the UAE (Abu Dhabi, Dubai and the Northern Emirates), Bahrain, Oman, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Further markets will be added going forward.

"PKF-TCH are reputed for deep and detailed research and for innovative approaches - on request we are now sharing some of that in an attractive - and fun - format. The aim of this tool is to provide everybody interested in the GCC real estate industry with a quick reference tool and let them decide how deep they wish to drill. MarketMirror is free, fast and easy and can sit on any PC or laptop to provide ad hoc input even during meetings. In future we will even offer PDA applications to make it fully portable,"

states Sven P Gade, Director and Head of Consulting for PKF-TCH.

The analysis is summarised via fractional indicative scores (i.e. 1/10 with 10 the highest and 0 the lowest achievable score). MarketMirror displays a traffic light colour range from green to red, based on high (green) to low (red) scores for each segment and region. The combination of scores and colour indicate quarterly performance of the respective tracked markets. MarketMirror also shows indicative quarterly trends through directional arrows (up indicating a positive trend and down a downwards development) in sector/market performance compared to the previous quarter.

Each sector and region reflected in the application offers a brief summary, activated by mouse over plus a hyperlink to more extensive analysis of the respective sector/region on the PKF TCH website which can be obtained via easy one-time registration.

PKF-TCH MarketMirror presents a consolidated summary of Middle East real estate markets, but is not intended to serve as or replace direct advice for investment or business decisions. MarketMirror is a high level market reflection based on subjective industry expert opinion.

The first release of MarketMirror covers Q3 and Q4 of 2009 and is distributed as a safe but fully interactive pdf version via email to select contacts. It is also available immediately through the web free of charge. MarketMirror will be updated every quarter.
