Amadeus introduces MyAmadeus.net in Saudi Arabia

Amadeus Saudi Arabia, a leading global technology and distribution partner to the travel industry, has launched the Amadeus e-Services Portal (www.myamadeus.net), a dedicated website designed to support the travel agency community in Saudi Arabia during a product seminar today in Jeddah.

Amadeus e-Services, a first of its kind portal in the market will communicate directly with the travel agents and aims to assist them with their day-to-day operations. Amadeus e-Service consists of several e-commerce services capabilities such as Online Training Planner, Online Agency Debit Memo (ADM), e-Library of Travel Agents, Travel Agencies business reports and much more...

Amadeus e-Service is integrated part of Travel Agencies business to get important information at their finger tips that also features some of applications which will help in their daily operational activities.

"Amadeus e-service is designed to give travel agencies more flexibility and convenience in ensuring important data is available as and when it is needed. The solution is also beneficial to airlines, hotels, car rentals and market to promote their products with Amadeus Saudi Arabia."


Amadeus started operations in Saudi Arabia in 1998 and today is the chosen technology provider for travel agencies. With direct operations and state-of-art training centers in Jeddah, Riyadh and Al Khobar, Amadeus provides dedicated customer services and support on latest travel software such as fares and ticketing, flight and hotel reservations, car hire, etc.

In 2009, Amadeus trained more than 3000 travel agents to use the latest technology that supports ticketing and fares systems. The number, inclusive of female travel agents, is expected to double in 2010 and will cover approximately 400 plus travel agencies across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Additionally, Amadeus Saudi Arabia has recently joined hands with the Saudi Commission of Tourism to train university graduates on Amadeus systems, offering them new career options and job opportunities in the Saudi travel & tourism industry.

"Amadeus Saudi Arabia has launched various products recently and has been working closely with the travel agencies on building better awareness in helping them advance their business processes and offer value added products to improve customer services. The e-Services portal will also help us reduce our carbon footprint and reduce dependency on printed training materials and brochures by communicating electronically with our travel agency partners," added Eng. Nashat.

Leading the travel and tourism industry with 40% market share, Amadeus, Saudi Arabia will be conducting similar product seminar to introduce its first eService portal for travel agencies in Riyadh on the 26th of January and in Dammam on the 27th of January.
