Intel says '2010 is the year of refresh' at Cairo ICT 2010

As part on Intel's ongoing commitment to the ICT community in the Egyptian marketplace and in light of 2010, "Year of the Refresh", Intel is pleased to announce its participation at the 14th Cairo ICT 2010.

During which Intel will be showcasing its latest technologies from the 7th - 10th of February 2010. In addition to having a VIP lounge set to be a business hub for strategic meetings, Core i5 demo area will allow visitors to experience the new technology.

Cairo ICT -the leading International Telecommunication, Information Technology, Networking, Computing, Satellite & Broadcasting Trade Fair & Forum for the Middle East and Africa- will mainly focus on Green IT and Cloud Computing and their benefits. This year's round also hosts exhibitors from different sectors such as finance and banking.

ICT is the quickest and fastest growing communities in Egypt. According to the Egypt Country Report, an important goal of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT) is to create state- of- the- art infrastructure that provides an enabling environment for the government and businesses to link globally in an efficient and cost effective way. In Egypt, the ICT sector has grown at 25% as compared to 7% overall growth in all sectors of the Egyptian economy as a whole.

Intel will be showcasing its new 2010 Intel Core family of processors, delivering unprecedented integration and smart performance, for laptops, desktops and embedded devices. This new technology is currently available at a number of retailers in Egypt.
