"Dubai during DSF has traditionally been synonymous with the excitement and fun of special offers and discounts, in addition to the carnival like atmosphere that grips the entire city during the days of the festival. Into its 15th edition, DEPE is focusing on reinvigorating the excitement that characterised Dubai in the early days of DSF."
said Ms Laila Suhail, CEO of DEPE.
"The new travel initiative is a unified attempt by the hospitality, tourism and retail sectors to give a boost to visitor inflows, and is a significant example of how the Government works in close coordination with the private sector to drive economic growth," she added.
More than 35 hotels and hotel apartments and five destination management companies have confirmed their participation as partners for this innovative initiative that aims to increase inward tourist inflow into Dubai by 25 - 30% during DSF2010.
The special travel package can be customised to suit individual requirements and constituents could include discount benefits on tours and safaris, special room rates that are at least 40% below rack rates, special airfares, complimentary breakfasts, shopping vouchers from participating malls, complimentary airport and shopping mall transfers. Hotel rates for this promotion will be the lowest that hotels will distribute through B2B channels during the period. Additional benefits could also include initiatives like 'Pay 2 Stay 3 Nights' or 'Pay 5 Stay 7 nights', upgrade to the next category, or special mall related promotions devised by participating malls.
