American Express Middle East and North Africa signs British Airways, Air France and KLM to its Membership Rewards programme

Leader in premium payment solutions, American Express Middle East and North Africa (AEME) announced today the introduction of three new global airline partners, British Airways, Air France and KLM, to its award-winning loyalty programme, Membership Rewards. These additions make it the only rewards programme in the region that has 11 airline partners comprised of global commercial airlines and a premium airline partner exclusively for Centurion Cardmembers.

"The American Express Cardmembership is synonymous with exclusive privileges, of which our Membership Rewards Programme is a hallmark benefit that provides Cardmembers the choice and flexibility to earn rewards that enhance their premium lifestyles. Our strategic focus in continuing to grow and enhance the loyalty programme is a key objective for American Express."

said Mazin Khoury, Vice President, AEME.

"Cardmembers appreciate the added value Membership Rewards offers their lives and the addition of these new partners provides them not just more ways to redeem points but more choices of finding a reward that suits their needs and enhances their lifestyle," he added.

"Providing unmatched benefits and life-enriching experiences to Cardmembers is paramount to American Express. The Membership Rewards programme is one of the ways we can demonstrate this commitment to our Cardmembers," continued Khoury.

The Membership Rewards programme is available for Centurion and Platinum Cardmembers and upon enrolment for Gold Credit, Green, Gold and Corporate Cardmembers. 1 point is earned for every one dollar or equivalent spent on the Card and can be redeemed across a wide selection of reward categories including flights, hotels, dining and entertainment, shopping, and charity donations.

"Cardmembers can benefit from unparalleled choice and flexibility offered by the programme and can redeem points towards life enriching experiences, whether it is a weekend getaway, a holiday overseas, a long sought after gift or a once-in-a-lifetime experience," said Hamad Hassani, Membership Rewards Manager, AEME.

"And unlike other loyalty programmes out there, Membership Rewards points don't expire and there's no limit to the amount of points one can accumulate," stressed Hassani.

The American Express Membership Rewards programme has over 80 local, regional and global merchant partners. Currently, 50% of eligible Middle East Cardmembers are enrolled into the Membership Rewards programme.

Membership Rewards Programme Airline Partners: British Airways (BA Miles), Air France (Flying Blue), KLM (Flying Blue), Cathay Pacific (Asia Miles), EgyptAir (EgyptAir Plus), Etihad Airways (Etihad Guest), Gulf Air (Frequent Flyer), Iberia Airlines (Iberia Plus), Qatar Airways (Privilege Club) Royal Jordanian (Royal Plus), and Air Partner (for Centurion Cardmembers only).
