Dubai Chamber services to support members during economic recovery

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry launched the 'Chamber Services Briefing' at its premises on Tuesday. The new bi-annual initiative aims at extending further support to the Dubai business community at a time when the Emirate is recovering from the effects of the global financial crisis.

As part of its role as a business facilitator, the Chamber works towards enhancing communication and facilitating networking among its local and regional stakeholders and this latest initiative of the Chamber Services Briefing is another step in that direction.

The briefing session provided an overview of key customer-facing departments and how best to use their services in a practical and hassle-free way. The Chamber's team of senior officials presented first-hand information on the variety of value-added services to the attendees and also met them individually regarding their personal queries about the services, the available benefits of membership as well as the way to access them.

The Chamber team at the Briefing was headed by Dr Belaid Rettab, Senior Director, Economic Research and Sustainable Business Development Sector; Mahdi Al Mazim, Director, Membership and Documentation Services Department; Hassan Al Hashemi, Director, External Relations; Jehad Kazim, Director, Legal Services; Omar Khan, Director, Customer Service Centers gave presentations on the services offered by their respective departments.

The services provided by the Chamber includes issuing of certificates of origin, authentication of various types of commercial documents, provision of economic research and studies as well as publication of economic bulletins, arbitration and commercial disputes resolution, credit services, business advice as well as hosting business delegations and conducting training workshops and seminars.
