Steriflow to participate at Gulfood 2010

  • United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, February 17 - 2010 at 15:58
  • PRESS RELEASE

Steriflow is a French pasteurisation and sterilisation equipment manufacturer for the food and pharmaceutical industries and world leader on this market. The company will be present at the GULFOOD trade show from February 21st to 24th, 2010 in Dubai (UAE), exhibiting its innovative and scalable solutions.

Founded in 1974, Steriflow manufactures and supplies autoclaves for the food industry and pharmaceutical products vacuum cooking, pasteurisation and sterilisation.
More than 3000 retorts have been sold in 110 countries.

Applications are many: long-conservation products (canned meat, vegetables, fish, ready meals, baby food, pet food etc), pasteurized products, vacuum-cooked products, but also sterilized milk (from 1,000 to 8,000 liters per hour).

This inventor of the over-heated cascading water autoclave has been highly involved in developing innovative solutions throughout the last 36 years.

Different types of retorts are proposed: Static, Rotary, Dali ones and the new revolutionary Shaka sytem just arriving on the market.

With this latest technology, during treatment, containers are shaken at a frequency of 100 to 150 cycles per minute, allowing for accelerated thermal transfer.

This speed also has the benefit of giving products vastly improved organoleptic and nutritional quality.

Shaka can adapt to all kinds of packaging (cans, jars, plastic or aluminium trays, pouches, plastic or glass bottles, etc) and to a wide range of products (sauces, soups, baby food, vegetables, ready meals, etc).

The company uses a network comprising 55 agents worldwide, a testing facility, a fully refurbished R&D laboratory, as well as various service or R&D centers established in France, Belgium, England, Germany, Morocco, Russia, Korea, Australia and the Northern countries to meet the needs of their prospective customers.

Given its experience, Steriflow has an unmatched understanding of its customers' technical constraints and offers them innovative solutions in accordance with their specific requirements (for instance, a titanium exchanger to work with sea water, or an energy-recovering system).

Its high-performance and responsive customer service provides reassurance and can respond to any customer emergency, wherever in the world he might be.

Its autoclaves can adapt to small and medium production units as well as to very large processing factories, thanks to its wide range of autoclaves that can accommodate a variety of drum diameters and lengths.

The Steriflow can perform cooking, pasteurisation, sterilisation and cooling of diverse food products, into the same autoclave. Basket loading/unloading may be manual, semi-automated or automated, according to operator choice. For very high cycle rates, the sterilization workshop is fully automated (automatic loading of packaged food products into the baskets, and automatic loading/unloading of baskets into and out of the Steriflow).

The electronic control system is automated, independent and repeatable thanks to the existing MPI range. The process monitoring system allows for sterilisation data traceability, batch data archiving and enables launching pasteurization or sterilization cycles remotely or not, and at a pre-configured rate.

The company also supplies ATM-brand continuous hydrostatic sterilizers. All autoclaves are designed in full compliance with the latest international standards, CE, ASME, SQLO, GOST construction codes and more, accepted by European and American authorities (FDA and USDA). ISO 9001-2000 certification.
