Batelco launches 'Batelco O Cinema' service in Bahrain

Batelco is the first telecommunications company in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Gulf region to deliver the innovative new service.

The convenient service allows customers to select the Bahrain cinema and movie of their choice along with their show and seating preference and additionally the number of tickets to be purchased. Once the purchase is confirmed, the customers will be given a code which may then be used at new Quick Serve machines located at select cinemas in Bahrain to collect their tickets. Currently the O Cinema service is available for City Centre, Saar, Seef 1 and Seef 2 Cinemas.

"This very innovative and convenient service means that there is no need to queue, as customers may go directly to the quick serve machine, enter their confirmation code and collect their tickets," said Batelco Group General Manager Media & Government Relations Ahmed Al Janahi.

"By buying the cinema tickets in advance, customers can avoid reaching the cinema to find that their chosen movie is already sold out!" he added.

For prepaid mobile customers, the cost of the cinema tickets will be deducted from their credit while postpaid customers will be charged in their telephone bill.

In addition to this new service, customers may also find out what movies are currently showing, plus their ratings, casting and plot overview, along with show times for the day, by visiting cinema.o.com.bh online or on their mobiles.

"This is the latest convenient service being brought to customers from Batelco. We expect this to be a very popular service with movie fans in Bahrain," added Mr. Al Janahi.

Bahrain Cinema Company Chairman Dr. Esam A. Fakhro is very enthusiastic about the launch of the O Cinema service and is very excited to launch the service in cooperation with Batelco.
